Hello, my beautiful friend,
I am sitting here feeling the urge to dance and paint and set myself free upon the creative expressions of flow.
I had a really late night last night, I worked through until 5am, as I had a deadline for today and there has been one technical difficulty after another, website glitches, the video making programme I use for making our practice videos froze (and is still not working), and the internet was so slow that by the time I had made the video and rendered it, it took hours this morning to upload.
It was frustrating, but magic in the beauty of finding creative solutions, and all is well, my students will have their yoga nidra practice on time! Hoorah!
What was really special, was my son, Kealan, stayed up through the night too, he was right there as a loving, grounding support for his mama. I am feeling particularly fortunate and grateful for his love today.
I have bergamot oil diffusing beside me, I find it both uplifting and calming, which is fab after a night working online! I am also aware of making sure that my breathing is both long, full and steady, and that I make sure I spend extra time in meditation today, and that I make sure my body is well hydrated.
I was thinking earlier that as we embrace confusion, without the need to medicate it or seek release, may we step into chaos so that from the discomfort beauty may emerge as it reveals itself through us.
By making friends with the breath enables grace to flow through each moment, as we embrace the oscillations of birth, death and renewal through each breath and each moment, the process reveals to us our purest heart and deepest longings.
And in turn we ay return to an awareness that if we are indeed made one and the same as Infinite Spirit, then we may live in Grace and know our true identity as a light of the world.
Lesson 61 from the Course tells us this: I am the light of the world.
We are asked, today, to remember this in every moment, within any upset, chaos, interaction, thought and emotion.
To declare, ‘I am the light of the world. That is my only function. That is why I am here.’
How does it feel to you to declare it so?
To command your sub-conscious mind to receive that as a new way of seeing self and the world at large?
Does it sit right with you?
Or does some part of you reject it out of hand?
How wonderful it would be if we could only remember to return to truth that we are the light, we are here not by accident, but to do our part to illuminate the shadows, clear our own dark spaces and be a light for others.
To reach a hand out to our fellow man in the dark, so that we may all rise together, from a grounded, sincere, loving place intimately connected to one another, our beautiful planet and pure consciousness, connected to Divine Love as she expresses her heart through ours.
