Hello, beautiful friend, how are you today?
Are you well and enjoying this Easter Weekend?
I know for many people this years Easter is going to feel rather different, as typically it is a time of coming together for families and loved ones, a holiday, a time to take stock of life and what it means to be together.
Perhaps you find yourself video calling instead of meeting up for egg hunts and picnics?
So my wish for you is that if you find yourself alone, or missing loved ones due to the social restrictions in place, please be gentle with yourself, feel all of the feelings, and give yourself the love and attention you may be needing.
I have been feeling immense resistance today, to sitting here and writing this. However, here I am, committed to my daily practice, my sadhana, despite how I think I feel.
A candle is lit, coffee in the pot, sunny yellow daffodils in a vase before me, and my favourite classical playlist playing softly in the background.
Have you noticed that a certain edge gets rubbed up against within, an icky uncomfortable feeling when you know you need to show up, and yet you’d rather play hooky?
This kind of thing tends to come up when we commit to a daily practice or activity, perhaps eating cleaner, or starting to exercise gently each day, or in my case, a commitment to writing a blog post here each day!
I am feeling all the feelings, let it wash through me, and affirming my intention.
So here I am, and it’s going to be a short one today!
I am missing my beautiful children today, I am feeling the spaces and edges, and so dearly wishing to hold them all close to me, instead, as we are all many physical miles away from one another, I am to be content with holding them energetically in my heart.
Perhaps you too are feeling some of this too?
Interestingly todays lesson from ACIM is My holiness is my salvation and sends us on an inner discovery of how our thoughts may keep us stuck, in fear or separation.
In the lesson we are asked to explore any thoughts coming from fear, for example anger, insecurity, anxiety, worry, attack … all the unloving fear-based thoughts we all get from time to time.
It is for the purpose of salvation, for healing, that we apply our own holiness, our divine understanding.
To give unto ourselves the loving care and consideration, our conscious awareness, so that we may release ourselves, with love from self-destructive thoughts, patterns and behaviours.
We offer these perceived negative thoughts and feelings up, we bless them and any ideas of wrongdoing, judgement and fear, so that we may be free.
“When a mind has only light, it knows only light. Its own radiance shines all around it, and extends out into the darkness of other minds, transforming them to majesty.”

May you be well and happy, may you find peace, and may you be loving towards yourself.
With infinite love to you,
