Hello, my beautiful friend,
How are you today? How is your day looking? Do you have lots of lovely things planned to nurture yourself and create ease and joy?
My heart is feeling so full today, full of love, and full of infinite possibility. I feel gentle, tender and open, a little like the beautiful spring flowers that are blossoming open all around us in nature, and yet, too, there is a powerful energy of strength and clarity I am experiencing too.
It feels like magic is in the air.
I spent the early part of the day in meditation, practicing Conscious Connected Breathing, and some beautiful somatic movement, my heart feels open and every cell in my body tingling!
I have beside me now, as I write, a freshly brewed coffee to sip, an orange to munch on, and some pretty flowers to gaze dreamily upon from time to time.
I had many heartful conversations yesterday with beautiful, consciously aware friends, and my parents, it was such a joy to chat, laugh and be of support to one another.
One of the topics that came up consistently was in regard to ‘doing the work’ and what that actually means, and what it looks like for each of us.
Perhaps you have heard the phrase, ‘Doing the Work’, bandied about in the Spiritual and Self-development communities?
To me the process of doing the work involves diving deep within, to uncover the wounds of my past, any beliefs that no longer serve me, and any ideas of separation and wrongdoing, so that these areas of discord may be resolved, healed and transformed in the light of love.
And in doing so being able to show up more fully, self-actualised, and create a life of ease and grace, from conscious choice where we are no longer tripped up by the past.
Have you explored your own core wounds?
Have you found that you have certain areas of your life that seem to go on a loop, perhaps there is a particular pattern that plays out, repeating itself over and over?
This may well be related to a core wound that needs resolving and transforming.
Doing the work takes great courage and self-compassion, it is working with our shadow selves, and is certainly not spiritual bypassing!
Thankfully there are so many different and effective modalities to support us in this process.
Modalities such as, to name just a few, NLP, Psych-K, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), inner child work, journaling, energy psychology, meditation, conscious Connected Breathing, TRE (Trauma Releasing Exercises), yoga nidra, embodiment practices, you may have found that practicing yoga may set you on the path of inner awakening.
Personally, I have, and do use combinations of all these modalities and practices to support myself in my own journey. Either by myself or under the guidance of a mentor.
I particularly love supporting others in the same process, there is a beautiful moment of awakening that occurs when the spark of truth and understanding is lit, I know that I am no longer (and the clients I work with) are never the same from that moment of awakening onwards.
If you are new to this work, then I would highly recommend that you reach out for support with someone who can hold space for you during those periods of healing and change.
I believe that when we heal and transform ourselves, then the whole world around us transforms.
If we have developed ourselves beyond previous conditioning, then the energy waves of that resonate out into the field of pure potentiality all around us, therefore, everything is affected by our own healing and expansion into love.
We really can change the world one person at a time.
“In your freedom lies the freedom of the world.”
- A Course In Miracles
Imagine this, you are in the throes of a spiritual awakening, your heart is healing and you no longer believe in separatist thoughts and ideas, you wake up and realise that you are not the victim of life, but rather you, we are all, in co-creation with the One Mind.
Suddenly you find yourself in a position of power, power over your own thoughts, you can feel your energy expanding and flowing, your heart full and your senses alive! The veils of illusion are lifting, and everything is coming into sharper focus. You now know that you are not alone. You know that you can choose again with conscious awareness.
This personal awakening is radiating out all around you, invisibly touching those you live with and love, your entwined energies are beautifully and seamlessly affected by your growth.
Within your own home how you view your relationships as a parent, a lover, and a friend is enhanced by this new aliveness you are experiencing. Perhaps even the way you now relate and see your role in these relationship takes on subtle new meanings.
Your awakening becomes an invitation to others to evolve too. It is not necessarily a spoken invitation, but rather, it is felt below the level of conscious awareness.
This of course may mean that some of those relationships will change, some relationships will even fall away, as you come into greater alignment with your own souls longing for expression. And that’s ok.
Imagine how it would feel to you right now to be living a life you absolutely LOVE; with people you resonate deeply with in all ways and doing work that lights you up.
Can you see and feel the experience of this life right here and now in this moment?
If we close our eyes together right now and allow our deepest imaginings to awaken in our vision centre, a life of love, passion, ease, creativity, vibrant health and grace what does it look like and feel like to you?
You may wish to take out your journal and a pen at this point to write what comes into your mind and heart!
Where are you living? With whom? What meaningful work are you doing? How is your health? Who are you kissing? What are you smelling? What can you see? How do you feel? What do you want to do now?
Your imaginings are not by accident.
They are unique to you and your souls yearning for expression.
Our task, each one of us, is to answer the call, to step bravely upon the path of spiritual awakening, to breathe life into our dreams. To live out loud and unencumbered from the past.
“You create by your true being, but what you are you must remember.”
- A Course In Miracles
Lesson 31, todays lesson, from A Course In Miracles is this: I am not the victim of the world I see.
May you, and each of us here together, find the courage and strength to go inwards, to uncover the beliefs, and wounds of the past, to do the work of healing, rejuvenation and spiritual growth; so that we may create the life we have always secretly yearned for.
I love you.
