Day 3 Awakening Grace and Miracles - My Personal Journey with A Course In Miracles

Hello lovely, does this find you well?

I woke up a little tired this morning after getting to bed late, at 2.30am, after spending the evening chatting with a close soul friend of mine.

You know the kind of night, with someone you feel close to, we presented to one another current personal situations and explored them from all angles, we laughed and held each other in the light of loving awareness.

Do you have people in your life to do that with?

Perhaps you find comfort amongst my words?

The lesson of today, from A Course In Miracles (Lesson 3), is this:

I do not understand anything I see in this room (on this street, from this window, in this place).

What do you make of that?

For example,

I do not understand this hand.

I do not understand this painting.

I do not understand this house.

I do not understand that door.

I do not understand this body.

I do not understand that ocean.

And so on …

It the same manner as the previous two lessons we embark upon this journey of rediscovering truth, of lifting the veils of false perception, of illusion, and separation.

And thus, enabling us to see things as they are right here and now before us.

We can see that our personal perceptions are just that. Personal. They are limited by our own beliefs, conditioning, emotional state and emotional associations.

When we enter fully into the spirit of this lesson, we come into a direct relationship with the things that we cast our eye upon. In this fresh light, free from our previous imaginings and emotional attachments, we know things as they truly are.

Can we truly humble ourselves to come back to a beginner’s mind? A time before identity, ideals, relationships to objects and people, situations and circumstances?

Can we be open enough to let all ideas about anything, and anyone we encounter in life go, so that we meet them with the fresh gaze of truth and Spiritual Knowing.

Are we willing to bring ourselves so resolutely into a direct experience of this moment that a new light may dawn, as we free ourselves from the burden of misunderstanding?

As we clear our long-held perceptions, we awaken the possibility of new beginnings and a respect for the non-dual neutrality of that which we encounter throughout our lives.

“The knowledge that illuminates not only sets you free, but also shows you clearly that you are free.”

- A Course In Miracles

May this serve you well today as you continue this journey of living freedom.

With my love,

Charlotte xx
