Hello my dear friend,
How are you today? Do you have anything organised within the constructs of your day that create connection, joy and openness in your heart?
I am sat here, coffee in hand, candle lit and beautiful music twinkling away in the background, my son asleep upstairs, the washing machine gurgling away in the distance, and the street, outside the window, bustling with quietness.
I have received a few messages from folk sharing that my words helped to sooth them yesterday. Please do reach out if you need a hand in the dark.
As the world continues to be in a state of upheaval around us, fear strongly felt amongst many, it is heartening to see that so many people are beacons of hope, support and creative endeavours in service to others.
In times of crisis we certainly begin to understand our neighbours in a whole new light. When feeling frightened we tend to return to our baseline way of coping, functioning and processing data. Our actions speak volumes about who we are in essence, and what is important to us and what we value.
Let us find compassion for our own experiences and that of others’, and still be willing to show up resolutely, brightly and lovingly.

I am feeling the urge for a long walk along the shore today, to feel the breeze in my hair and dip my toes in the still chilly sea. To have some time to ponder and feel into my next steps in the direction of my dreams.
I find the beach provides the solace and expansiveness I desire, the smell of fresh salt in the air, the gentle crunch of sand beneath me, and to playfully jump from rock to rock, helps to bring me back to centre.
What do you do that is a balm to your soul?
What activity do you return to time and again, that unkinks your nervous system and restores your inner being to peace?
The lesson for today, from ACIM, is very appropriate for our times. It is this (Lesson 12):
I am upset because I see a meaningless world.
If we ponder the previous eleven lessons, we are guided quite clearly to know, that we see things through the veils of our own perceptions, that nothing in and of itself has any inherent meaning, only the meaning we place upon it.
We may be upset, therefore that we see a meaningless world, but the truth is there cannot be meaningless without meaningful. We reside in a space of opposites, we may judge things as negative and positive, good or bad, masculine or feminine, right or wrong, light or dark.
But these are simply opposites of one totality, one does not exist without the other.
Our task, therefore, is to know the truthbeneath the judgements, that which is whole, complete and eternal, to re-remember the Oneness of All.
We may divide and separate, but the very foundation of all existence is Wholeness.
When we see a negative, we are implying the opposite too.
Try it today and see how it feels.
If we judge one aspect as right or wrong, we immediately create separation, we are therefore no longer in direct relationship with totality, with unity, with the way things are beyond our personal, social and race perceptions.
“… you feel the fear of the destruction of your thought system upon you as if it were the fear of death. There is no death, but there is a belief in death.”

As we still find ourselves without a landline and WiFi at home, I am heading around to one of our local cafes now, to nurture a drink and post this blog on my website, and send an email to the people who I will be teaching and guiding yoga nidra to online this evening.
It has been rather good to be doing the rounds of the local cafes in this manner each day, it has enabled me to meet new people and be supportive of our local community businesses.
There is much to be grateful for, even in trying times, when we take the time to stop, breathe and assess things clearly, from all angles.
May your day serve you and others well.
With my love,
