I find myself sat once again on my front doorstep, basking in the sun as it drys my hair and the village functioning in a synergistic way around me, each person, business and home creating an interwoven web of magic, set to the soothing and often rousing rhythm of the sea upon the shore, the calls of the natural world add to the living beating heart of this tiny slice of Heaven on Earth.
I feel called to share with you today my current understanding of living a soulful, soul-led life and what it means to me to be a woman and spiritually alive and awake in this moment.
I have sometimes struggled throughout my adult life to reconcile the differences between being a fully embodied woman who has a gnostic sense of the Divine and what a lot of the wisdom schools, religion and spiritual schools teach us about getting up and out to God, to unite with him 'up there'.
Some of us grow up with an image of a man in the sky that somehow we are meant to worship, pray to and revere as the All-Knowing Power.
Did you grow up with this idea of God?
Many spiritual paths seem outdated to me, they appear, in my limited knowledge, to worship that which is believed to be outside of us, that to know the Divine we must somehow transcend that which is earthy, the body temple, and deeply feminine.
I believe, with all my heart, that we need all of it, to see, live and experience the Holy in everything, within everyone, in every moment, through this body, deeply connected to the earth and to that which is eternal.
We may, if we are open to it, recognise that Heaven on Earth already exists here in this very moment, right here where we are.
By opening ourselves, transforming our beliefs and our energetic capacity to hold, channel and experience more aliveness in reverence of the Divine within each waking moment, we will know Heaven on Earth as a lived, somatic, energetic experience of ourselves and all that is sacred, Holy and Eternally Present.
This Divine Marriage is our birthright, it is the marriage within and through us, a marriage of the Sacred Masculine and the Sacred Feminine within.
It does not, in my opinion, mean valuing one above the other, but placing our faith in Unity, knowing that all is sacred, each and every breath, every undulation of our spine, each step placed upon the earth and every time we throw our arms up and open to eternity.
This is not the path of Spiritual bypassing, this is the path of inclusivity, where are dark and shadow and unhealed aspects are bought to the table and loved completely, so that's may return to a lived sense of our own wholeness.
In embodied or grounded spirituality we welcome it all. We do not need to get up and out, we get down and in whist simultaneously communing with Divine Source.
We get up to go down and we get down to go up.
It is heaven and earth, earth and heaven together, at once, right here through the conduit of our beating heart.
We may, if we so choose, live every moment as an offering, a gifting of our soul gifts in co-creation with the divine.
We may bring a reverential appreciation to every moment of lived life and offer ourselves to that which is the very essence of our existence here on earth may work through us in ways that uplift humanity.
We may practice removing the veils of separation that delude us from gnosis.
With each breath, we may live as an embodied prayer (when we remember), each time we hold another, every time we place a foot lovingly upon the earth, and when we are in the arms of our lover, as we sing and dance and when we harvest, cook and eat the bounty grown from the womb of our planet, when we work, and tend our babies.
It is a gift to make holy every moment of our lives, to know it as perfect in its imperfections, to know ourselves in ever-deepening ways of knowing and bring this light, beauty, depth and power to the world around us.
This is an embodied, feminine way of spiritual aliveness.
A lived spirituality, an embodied relationship with the Divine as an intrinsic part of our make up, with no desire to place that power outside of our ripe and flourishing wombs.
We reveal ourselves as the embodiment of the divine and may slip seamlessly from the wearing of one mask to the other as the many faces of the gods and goddesses, knowing that we are eternally unchanging in essence; that Divine Energy moves through us in uninhibited ways as we get ourselves out of the way.
As we AWAKEN, we shine brighter and become an inspiration to those around us to do the same ... what a beautiful and unending gifting that is to our homes and planet.
This forges the path of divine living, here on earth as we welcome Source to work through us.
Our souls' gifts are our truest ways of expressing this in our lives, relationships and work.
In this way, our uniqueness and relative reality make up the texture of our global relative reality amongst Ultimate reality.
So for me, God is always and has always been found within, throughout and all the way up there too. In and out, up and down, through and over, within and without ... all at once ... ALL OF THE TIME.
